Summary:
The Director, Finance Training & Change Management, sets the strategic direction and executes content delivery for Finance training and change management programs at Seagen. This position is responsible for program design and oversight to ensure the training programs meet current and future finance talent needs and that change management approach and messaging is consistent across the Finance organization. This role will participate with system implementation project teams to develop the plan for training and change materials. This role will work closely with the Finance leadership, IT COE, and Human Resources teams to develop leading-edge programs and processes that support the organization’s key business objectives and talent needs.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Finance leadership and other stakeholders to assess training and development needs across the Finance organization. Work with senior leadership and their teams to identify gaps in learning and learning solutions
- Plan, direct and implement learning content, strategies, programs, and processes that align with the organization’s strategic goals to support changes to Finance business processes and systems
- Develop learning objectives, content, deployment and tracking mechanism for Finance training programs using various technologies
- Engineer a Finance onboarding program and learning paths by functional area in order to improve the new hire experience and consistency in business process across the organization
- Develop and deliver new training content as new systems and business processes are implemented. Collaborate with SMEs for developing new courses and revising existing ones
- Develop and maintain training materials posted on enterprise learning tools related to Finance content
- Participate on business process improvement and systems implementation teams in order to determine training and change management needs
- Conduct presentations and training or source appropriate trainers/facilitators
- Coordinate special projects and perform additional duties as needed
- Support any change management efforts the organization may require
- Create metrics and other tools to measure and report on the effectiveness of training programs and make continuous improvements in virtual and live learning environments
- Evaluate feedback from employees to ensure learning, course materials, and communications are relevant and effectively communicate the desired message
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of Finance systems and business processes
- Strong communication skills, including written
- Highly organized with the demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proven experience building curriculums, designing and implementing highly effective, results-driven programs, e-courses and development strategies
- Previous experience with diverse populations and learning styles
- Preferred experience with a Learning Resource Management System (LRMS)
- Proven ability to work in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
Knowledge of, and curiosity in exploring training programs and platforms
- Good listener with excellent oral, written, coaching and presentation communication skills
- Pays close attention to detail and sets high standards for quality
- Strong project management skills
- Preferred experience with a Learning Resource Management System (LRMS)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Business or Technical area

The hiring pay range for this position is $188,000 to $143,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
