Summary:
The Sr. Manager, Commercial Analytics will participate actively in commercial data, reporting and analytics workstreams for Seagen portfolio, including in-market, late stage, and early-stage pipeline products. This position will report to Director, Commercial Analytics within the Global Insights and Operations (GIO) team.
The Sr. Manager will be primarily responsible for collection, curation of commercial data, creation, and delivery of standard reports & dashboards for executive and other home office decision makers and targeting/secondary data analytics. These efforts will provide a fact-based way to measure and monitor business performance. As such, The Sr. Manager will help set the foundation to identify and address business-critical questions along with other insights and outputs delivered by the larger Global Insights & Operations team. The Sr. Manager will also participate in advanced analytics projects as needed. This position will collaborate as a member of internal cross-functional project teams and embed an objective, data-driven perspective in Seagen’s go-to-market strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in enhancing Seagen’s core analytical skills in informing pipeline / early-stage product decisions through analyzing market dynamics, epidemiology, competitive landscape, and strategic fit for Seagen portfolio
- Collaborate with other Insights and Operations team members to help the overall team produce synthesized insights in a streamlined manner
- Participate in advanced analytics efforts, such as HCP/account segmentation/targeting, subnational field effort analytics, marketing mix optimization, commercial ROI studies, and operational specialty pharmacy/specialty distributor channel analytics, on a need’s basis
- Develop close working relationships with other functions within and outside Commercial to ensure that insights from commercial data, reporting and analytics are consumed by the larger organization for timely and business-critical decisions
- Develop first-hand knowledge of the data sets and act as the Commercial expert to navigate emerging business needs and evolving data landscape
- Design and execute reporting suite for executive and other home office decision makers to enable “one view” of the market, ensuring single-source-of-truth reporting in collaboration with Commercial Operations counterparts who oversee the same functional activities for field-based sales teams
- Actively participate in Seagen’s commercial data governance and stewardship efforts
- Identify commercial data sources and data sets to address strategic and operational business needs
- Continuously improve quality of data content, context, and associated business rules to ensure front-end usability of commercial data
- Liaise with data custodians/IT to ensure safe custody, transport, and storage of commercial data and implementation of business rules
- Collaborate with Seagen’s co-promotion partners as needed to define data sets suitable for mutual sharing, help design data sharing processes, and ensure successful delivery on an ongoing basis
- Manage complexities of fragmented data sets from Seagen's distribution partners in context of specialty distribution model for applicable products
- Partner with IT and other functions to design and operate the customer master data management process, including business rule definitions and process flows to ensure data integrity and quality
- Identify and track key performance indicators, such as product market share, duration of therapy, patient compliance, etc., using select claims and electronic health record data sources
- Ensure that data flows and calculations are properly implemented on an ongoing basis
- Ensure that the reporting suite is continuously relevant and meets emerging business needs by performing periodical “spring cleanings”
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 Years of experience in biotech/pharmaceuticals and/or management consulting preferred
Claims Data and Oncology experience preferred
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills to address situations with operational complexity
- Coding skills and/or Analytical Tools experience (Alteryx/R/SAS/SQL/Tableau etc.) preferred
- Experience with using retail and specialty pharmacy data preferred
- Adept communication skills, including ability to summarize complex issues concisely and listen effectively to concerns and problems
- Cross-functional collaboration skills. Ability to work with people at different levels from various parts of the organization, including but not limited to, Marketing, Sales, Sales
- Operations, Managed Markets, Access Teams, Finance, IT, and other functions within and outside of Commercial
- Experience managing data and/or analytics vendors preferred
Educations:
- Undergraduate degree required, science or business-related focus is preferred
- Graduate degree in business, public health, or related field preferred

The hiring pay range for this position is $136,000 - $176,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
