Summary:
The Statistical Programmer Intern is an individual contributor with a strong focus on quality, detail and results, learning under close supervision to design, develop, modify and test SAS programs of low to moderate complexity to analyze and evaluate clinical data in accordance with statistical analysis plans and other specifications provided by functional leads. May participate in the review of key study and project documents and programming specifications. Follows requirements, specifications, study and project level documentation, company and regulatory standards. At the end of the internship, the candidate should be familiar with:
- Case report form (CRF) annotation
- CDISC SDTM and ADaM programming and QC
- Using Pinnacle 21 Validator
- Table, listing, and figure (TLF) production and QC
- Defensive programming and debugging techniques
- Use departmental macros
Responsibilities:
- Under supervision of the intern manager, develop and test SAS® programs to produce high-quality deliverables include data sets, tables, listings and figures
- Optionally, participate in design, development, or validation of a departmental macro or application
- Recognizes inconsistencies and initiate resolution of data problems
- Implement statistical analysis plans designed to meet project and protocol deadlines
- Review and understand requirements, specifications, and protocol level documentation
- Follow company standard SOPs and Guidance
Qualifications:
- BS or obtaining a MS within one year following the internship in relevant field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals, Lifesciences, Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, etc.)
- Some experience of software development and/or programming experience
- Familiarity with basic SAS® Programming
Note: This is an onsite, paid internship. This position is open to all students legally authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for internships. The hiring pay range for this position is $20 to $32 per hour based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role.
